Patience: Hard but not Impossible
Patience is sometimes like stepping onto shards of glass, tearing through the flesh of your feet. You muffle your screams as the world stills. As you sit, rigid and in pain, and remove the jagged pieces from your skin, hot tears stinging your eyes, you smile. You smile and utter not a single word.
Sometimes life becomes so hard on some people. Doing its utmost to swallow the victim. Wave after wave of suffering, submerging them in depths of cold dark ocean, alone. Maybe that person is you or maybe its someone close to your heart. You see yourself or them suffer, helplessness coming over you, torturing you. You want the best here, Of course you do.
Initially, you ask God why? why you?. You want someone to rant to and you realize that God is one such mighty entity who'll listen no matter where you are, what you are. He'll never be busy for you. You ask God for guidance but are you prepared to receive it?. You're scared it might not come in a form you'll initially like. It might hurt. But then remember it's out of love. While God's creation puts others in painful predicaments for selfish reasons, He tests you to bring you closer to Him. He reminds you to treat this world as a means to achieve something higher. something that will be worth all the pain; Jannah.
You try; your arm tears through the surface of cold water. But you stumble, as the murky water all around you tries to make you lose your balance. You feel alone and isolated but then you see people come out, fight their way out. Their skins rough and worn from the near freezing temperature. But it still gives you strength because to you they are a ray of hope, the rain to your barren land. You realize its all about the will. You refuse to give up, because now you know that its not permanent. Nothing is. Its a phase of life that will leave you. You struggle and struggle because you know that your supporter is the one who requires support from no one.
Another swift jerk and the surface of the ocean breaks. Your head pops out and at least now you can breath. You struggle harder and then you literally hear the help. You look up and you see the sun smiling. You're a soldier; you smile but this time you're contented.
